These sleek, dark leather boots seem to absorb light rather than reflect it. Intricate silver stitching forms the shape of swirling shadows around the ankles, and the soles are incredibly light, allowing for effortless movement. When worn, the boots bestow the wearer with exceptional agility and stealth.
While wearing the boots, your movement speed increases by 10 feet, and you gain advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks. Additionally, you can use a bonus action to teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see, provided you are in dim light or darkness when you do so. This teleportation creates a fleeting shadow of yourself at the original location, which lasts until the start of your next turn.
Once you use this teleportation feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest. If you are targeted by an attack immediately after teleporting using this ability, you can use your reaction to automatically impose disadvantage on the attack, as the shadows dance around you, obscuring your form.
The boots have a faint aura of shadow magic, and when worn, they whisper secrets of stealth and assassination to the bearer. However, there is a downside; while they enhance your abilities, they also make you more susceptible to radiant damage. While attuned to the boots, you have disadvantage on saving throws against spells or effects that deal radiant damage.
